In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material
Players who accomplish the quest will acquire an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
