The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards β€” With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been intense.

The first season presents a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs β€” but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season β€” particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
